RAMYEON
Ramyeon:
A Japanese dish of noodles in broth, often garnished with small pieces of meat and vegetables. It is basically an instant food type. South Koreans often feel deep nostalgia for instant noodles.
Tip: If you’re still hungry after eating ramyeon, you can add some rice to the leftover broth at the bottom and enjoy it alslo.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Korean ramyeon
- or
- 1 cup of ramyeon
- 2½ cups water
- 1 egg(optional)
- 2 chopped green onions
Directions:
- Boil the water over high heat.
- Add the noodles and the included soup powder to the boiling water. Cover and cook for 1 minute.
- Turn the ramyeon from time to time.
- Crack the egg directly into the boiling ramyeon, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Don’t stir, otherwise the egg will be poached.
- You may fry the egg and then serve it on top of hot ramyeon.
- Add the green onions and the included package of dried vegetables. Serve with kimchi and rice.
